Position: Marina Manager
Department: Property
Position Reports to: General Manager
OTO Development is pleased to announce a wonderful opportunity for a Marina Manager.
What will you be doing most days?
Marina Operations
- Manage daily marina operations, including slip assignments, dock management, and facility upkeep
- Coordinate arrivals and departures of transient and annual tenants
- Ensure marina safety, cleanliness, and overall operational readiness
- Maintain compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations, including City ordinances, environmental requirements, and agency guidelines (e.g., DEP, FWC)
- Conduct routine inspections of docks, equipment, and marina facilities to ensure safe conditions
- Provide general navigation guidance and respond to boating-related inquiries
Tenant & Guest Relations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with annual and transient marina tenants
- Collect and track lease payments, ensuring timely billing and follow-up
- Serve as the primary point of contact for marina-related questions and concerns
- Greet and welcome guests, delivering a high level of hospitality consistent with hotel standards
Retail & Sales Management
- Oversee marina retail shop operations, including merchandising, inventory, and staffing (if applicable)
- Drive retail sales through product selection, promotions, and guest engagement
- Maximize revenue from slip rentals and marina services
- Monitor financial performance and identify opportunities to increase profitability
Administrative Duties
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries related to marina services, availability, and navigation
- Maintain accurate records of leases, reservations, and transactions
- Prepare reports on marina occupancy, revenue, and retail performance
- Coordinate with hotel departments to ensure a seamless guest experience
Qualifications
- Previous experience in marina operations, hospitality, or retail management preferred
- Strong knowledge of boating, marina procedures, and basic navigation
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in basic computer systems and POS software
- Strong organizational and financial management skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Must be able to stand, walk docks, and lift moderate weight as needed
Travel Requirements
This position would require little to no travel outside the property and surrounding area.
