Job Description
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior AI Controls Solutions Engineer (Electrical Systems) in United States.
This role sits at the intersection of electrical engineering, industrial controls, and applied AI, focusing on deploying advanced AI-driven control systems within large-scale industrial environments such as data centers. You will help operationalize reinforcement learning-based solutions that continuously optimize complex electrical and power distribution systems. Working closely with data scientists, technical program managers, and product teams, you will translate real-world facility behavior into intelligent, production-ready control models. The role blends deep domain expertise in electrical systems with hands-on implementation of cutting-edge AI technologies. You will directly contribute to improving system efficiency, reliability, and sustainability at scale. This is a highly collaborative, remote-first position with meaningful impact across global infrastructure.
- Lead the deployment and operationalization of AI-based control systems for electrical and power distribution environments in industrial-scale facilities.
- Build and maintain accurate digital models of customer facilities, including system mapping, data tagging, and integration into AI platforms.
- Collaborate closely with data science and product teams to translate real-world electrical system behavior into AI-ready inputs and control logic.
- Support troubleshooting, triaging, and performance analysis of deployed systems to ensure reliability and continuous optimization.
- Gather and translate customer requirements into structured technical specifications for engineering and product development teams.
- Contribute to product improvement by providing feedback on system performance, scalability, and customer needs.
- Participate in customer engagement, onboarding, and occasional site visits to ensure successful deployment and adoption.
Requirements:
- 10–15 years of experience in controls engineering, electrical systems, or related technical fields.
- Strong expertise in power distribution systems, particularly in data center or large-scale industrial environments.
- Deep understanding of electrical engineering principles, applied physics, and control system architectures.
- Hands-on experience with industrial control systems (PLC, ladder logic, structured text, or equivalent programming languages).
- Ability to analyze system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and optimize engineered solutions.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams including operations, engineering, and product development.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience in Python scripting or collaboration with software teams is a strong plus.
- Background in electrical engineering, control systems, applied mathematics, or related disciplines preferred.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and lead solution delivery in a remote environment.
Benefits:
- Competitive base salary with equity participation.
- Fully remote work environment with flexible collaboration across global teams.
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance (region-dependent).
- Unlimited paid time off with minimum usage expectations.
- Paid parental leave and family support benefits (region-dependent).
- Flexible stipends for home office setup, wellness, and professional development.
- Company-provided equipment to support productivity.
- Strong focus on learning, training, and career growth in AI and industrial systems.
- Opportunity to work on high-impact, real-world AI applications in critical infrastructure.
