Job Description
Description:
The ideal candidate will have strong experience across multiple trades, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, preventative maintenance, and general building repairs. This position requires a proactive problem solver who is technically savvy, detail-oriented, and able to respond effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Responsibilities- Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and inspections throughout the property
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and general building systems
- Respond to maintenance requests and emergency service calls in a timely manner
- Maintain guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house spaces, and exterior grounds
- Monitor and maintain pool systems and chemical levels
- Identify operational issues before they become major failures
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, PM schedules, and work orders
- Maintain parts inventory
- Assist with vendor coordination and outside contractors when needed
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company standards and local codes
- Support renovation projects, equipment installations, and facility improvements
- Utilize maintenance software and technology systems effectively
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in hotel, commercial, apartment, or facility maintenance
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Electrical troubleshooting
- Plumbing systems
- HVAC systems
- Mechanical equipment
- General building maintenance
- Pool certification – OCCHD certified within 60 days
- EPA certification
- Ability to work with hand and power tools safely
- Experience with preventative maintenance programs
- Ability to troubleshoot independently and prioritize multiple tasks
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable with multiple technologies
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, holidays, and emergency calls as needed
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in indoor/outdoor environments
- Self-motivated and dependable
- Strong communication skills
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Team-oriented with a willingness to assist other departments
- Calm under pressure and solutions-focused
- Takes ownership and pride in the condition of the property
