This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a National Sales Director in United States.

This is a senior field leadership role responsible for building and scaling a high-performing national sales organization in support of a major product launch within the pharmaceutical/biotech space. You will lead a team of regional sales leaders and field representatives, driving execution excellence across a large U.S. geography. The role combines strategic launch leadership with hands-on field coaching, organizational development, and commercial performance management. You will work closely with cross-functional partners including marketing, market access, medical affairs, and operations to ensure seamless launch readiness and sustained growth. Operating in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment, you will play a central role in shaping field strategy, culture, and execution standards. This position is ideal for a builder-leader who thrives in launch environments and enjoys developing teams at scale.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead national and regional launch execution strategies, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives across sales, market access, and customer engagement priorities.
  • Translate national strategy into actionable field plans, driving consistent execution, performance tracking, and rapid course correction when needed.
  • Recruit, develop, and lead a large field organization, including Regional Sales Directors and indirect field teams, while building strong leadership pipelines.
  • Conduct regular coaching, performance reviews, and talent development initiatives to strengthen field effectiveness and accountability.
  • Partner cross-functionally with marketing, medical affairs, training, operations, compliance, and market access to ensure full launch readiness and ongoing execution excellence.
  • Oversee business operations including forecasting, reporting, CRM utilization, and area budget management while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
  • Provide ongoing market insights, competitive intelligence, and field feedback to inform national commercial strategy and decision-making.

Requirements:

  • 12+ years of pharmaceutical or biotech sales experience with at least 5+ years in field sales leadership, including leading leaders.
  • Proven experience supporting and executing product launches, ideally in first-launch or emerging biotech environments.
  • Strong track record of leading specialty sales teams and consistently achieving or exceeding commercial performance goals.
  • Experience in cardiovascular, nephrology, hypertension, or related specialty therapeutic areas is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, scale, and develop high-performing teams in fast-paced and ambiguous environments.
  • Strong business acumen with capabilities in planning, analytics, forecasting, and problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder influence skills with a collaborative leadership style.
  • Ability to travel extensively (up to 60%) across the assigned territory and nationally as required.

Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary ranging from $260,000 to $285,000
  • Participation in company incentive and performance-based compensation plans
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan
  • Paid time off and standard company holidays
  • Remote-first work structure with significant field flexibility
  • Eligibility for additional company benefits including wellness and employee support programs
  • Opportunity to play a key leadership role in a high-impact product launch within a growing biotech organization.
