The Irrigation Laborer supports golf course construction projects by installing, repairing, and troubleshooting irrigation systems. This role involves hands-on labor, teamwork, and adherence to safety standards while working outdoors on active construction sites.

Job Duties:

  • Level ground and prepare surfaces for sod installation
  • Lay sod and assist with turf restoration
  • Dig trenches and holes for irrigation lines and components
  • Cut, glue, or fuse HDPE and PVC piping
  • Locate underground utilities prior to digging
  • Set grades and elevations according to project plans
  • Dig and pound stakes as needed for layout and installation
  • Assist with pouring and finishing concrete
  • Backfill trenches with soil or other approved materials
  • Work closely with crew members using hand signals to coordinate tasks and maintain safety around equipment
  • Keep tools and equipment clean, maintained, and ready for transport
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite at all times
  • Follow instructions from the Site Supervisor and crew leadership

Work Environment:

  • Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 100 pounds
  • Regular walking, bending, kneeling, lifting, stretching, and standing
  • Ability to work extended hours outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Travel required to job sites across the United States
  • Some Saturday work required

  • Individuals who work safely and have the courage to speak up if you see unsafe behavior or conditions
  • Proper use and care of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Strong attention to safety, detail, and jobsite awareness
  • Fluency in English required; Spanish proficiency is a plus.
  • Prior construction, irrigation, or outdoor labor experience preferred but not required
