Paralegal – Probate & Conservatorship (California) at Distro – Cebu City, Central Visayas

We are seeking a highly independent Paralegal to support a U.S. law firm handling highvolume California probate and conservatorship cases. This role requires strong procedural knowledge, excellent written English, and the ability to support an attorney in real time, including during live court hearings. This is a longterm opportunity with growth potential and expanding responsibilities.

Draft California probate pleadings (Petitions, Notices, Letters, I&A coordination, distributions).

Draft conservatorship pleadings (GC310/320, GC335, Care Plans, accountings, annual filings).

Track deadlines, probate notes, notices, and service requirements.

Calendar hearings and statutory deadlines under California rules.

Coordinate with courts, clerks, examiners, and investigators.

Provide realtime attorney support during overlapping hearings.

Manage cases in Clio Manage and maintain compliant electronic files.

3+ years of California probate and/or conservatorship experience.

Law degree required (must be an attorney).

Advanced written English (C1 or higher).

Proven ability to manage heavy caseloads and strict deadlines.

Prior experience with a U.S. law firm.

Proficiency with Clio Manage, Adobe Acrobat, efiling systems.

Reliable internet and secure remote workspace.

Handson experience drafting California Judicial Council forms.

Bilingual Spanish or Tagalog (plus).

Calm under pressure, highly independent, detailoriented, proactive, organized, adaptable, and committed to longterm stability and growth.

Location preference: Philippines.

Strong preference for direct California probate/conservatorship experience.

Candidates with 2+ years may be considered if highly qualified.

Finalists complete two interviews with the attorney.

Must be comfortable supporting a solo firm owner in a highvolume environment.
