Position Description: Senior Human Resources Business Partner – Manufacturing Operations

The Senior Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) for Manufacturing Operations in Aurora, Ohio, is a strategic role responsible for driving HR initiatives and supporting business objectives within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position partners with operational leaders to deliver comprehensive HR solutions that foster a high-performance culture, ensure compliance, and promote employee engagement and development

Requirements:

Primary Duties:

  • Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with manufacturing leadership to align HR initiatives with business objectives, enhancing organizational effectiveness and workforce productivity.
  • Employee Relations: Provide guidance to managers and employees on employee relations matters, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions, ensuring alignment with company policies and legal standards.
  • Talent Management: Lead efforts in talent acquisition, onboarding, succession planning, and workforce development to attract, retain, and grow high-performing talent within the site.
  • Performance Management: Oversee performance processes such as goal setting, coaching, feedback, and evaluations to drive continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Change Management: Support organizational change efforts—including process improvements, restructuring, and cultural initiatives—by facilitating communication, training, and employee engagement.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as internal policies, with particular attention to regulations impacting manufacturing environments.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Partner with the Head of Total Rewards to support compensation strategies, benefits administration, and recognition programs tailored to the needs of a manufacturing workforce.
  • Health & Safety: Work closely with Environmental Health & Safety teams to promote safe working conditions and support employee health and wellness initiatives.
  • Diversity, Equity & Inclusion: Champion DE&I initiatives to foster an inclusive workplace culture and advance diversity of representation across all levels of the organization.

Experience & Skills:

  • Minimum of seven years of progressive HR experience, including at least three years serving as an HR Business Partner supporting manufacturing or industrial operations.
  • Strong expertise in employment law, regulatory compliance, and HR best practices, particularly those relevant to manufacturing environments.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships and influence leaders at all levels, serving as a trusted advisor to the business.
  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to navigate complex employee relations matters.
  • Experience working with HRIS platforms and leveraging data for insights and decision-making that support business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, operating effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree or HR certification (PHR/SPHR/SHRM-SCP) preferred.
