About This Position
IT Superintendent
McEwen Mining, Inc., Eureka, NV seeks IT Superintendent - Develop short-, medium- and long-term IT goals, preparing for budget and forecasting estimates. Develop and maintain effective cross functional communication and maintain site wide IT. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues. Install and maintain network and communications. Responsible for the installation and maintenance for hardware, phones, CCTV, Access Control including the design of Solar Panels for IT projects. Ensure systems and equipment security across the Gold Bar Mine. Establish and implement Cybersecurity programs and procedures. ERP (Procurement and Finance) System administrator. Take on IT projects, as needed, and manage the execution of these projects, as needed. Install and maintain two-way radios. Responsible for ensuring that the company's IT systems and processes comply with the SOX requirements. Install and maintain Operating systems (OS), Backup’s, critical software & servers, up and running. Ensure the correct operation of the PI System (OT) through PI systems Administration (Osisoft), PI Vision, PI Datalink. Maintain the KPI Dashboards with PowerBi to include managing Monitoring software PRTG and Dashboard reports with Microsoft PowerBi. Develop and implement IT related project plans including preparing business cases, analyzing cost-benefit and return on investment (ROI), providing project objectives, specifications, and schedules and establishing a project communication plan. Develop and manage annual budgets for information technology projects. Technical support to Mining software related (Datamine, ESRI, Leapfrog, Autodesk, Lims). Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Coordinate and/or assign spans of authority to project personnel and Contractors. Enforce project management best practices/compliance, using methodology such as RUP, Agile and tools such as Project management software and PLM collaboration. Carry out routine administration, reporting, and safety checks on all IT related needs for the Gold Bar Mine. Adhere to safety and environmental related best practices and Standard Operating Procedures. Maintain full responsibility for complying to all Health, Safety, and Environmental regulatory aspects relating to activities carried out in line with the requirement. Will travel 10% to travel to oversee IT services for the US & Mexican operations.
Requires Bachelor’s (or foreign educ. equiv.) Degree in Computer Information Systems, Information Technology or related field of study and two (2) yrs. experience in job offered or related. Experience must have included use of SQL Server, Windows Server, Pro, Active Directory, NAS systems, VMWare, Hyper-V, Veam, Cloud base systems (Azure), Sharepoint; Software Administration for ERP systems, Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (GP) & Paramount Workplace; Motorola Mototrbo radio administration; CCTV Installation and maintenance for (Hikvision, Honeywell, Axis, Nest); Design, install and maintenance Network communications, Fortinet and Sonicwall Firewalls, Unifi Wireless, Microwave PTP and PMP (Ubiquiti, Rukus); Design of Solar Panels systems for IT projects, including installation & maintenance; Ensuring that the company's IT systems and processes comply with the SOX requirements; PI systems Administration (Osisoft), PI Vision, PI Datalink; GIS software (ArcGis, ArcMap, ArcPad, ESRI) and Datamine (Lims, Fusion, Minetrust); andManage the Monitoring software PRTG and Dashboard reports with Microsoft PowerBi.
