SUMMARY:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervises superintendent and subcontractors.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid driver’s license with good driving record. Construction experience/certification is preferred. Must be able to pass a drug test and a background check.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents including drawings and specifications, proficiency in MS Office, excellent verbal and written communication skills.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: Ability to pass written and physical exams. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, coworkers and customers. Excellent organizational skills, strong multitasking skills, strong time management skills, ability to complete projects on time, and strong decision making skills.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Occasionally the employee will lift and/or move items weighing up to 90. The employee will sometimes push/pull items such as, but not limited to, tables, scaffolds, and cabinets. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

The employee will work at high elevations on scaffolding and ladders.
