JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Director of Compliance and Quality Assurance, the Compliance and Quality Assurance Analyst have multiple responsibilities in ensuring that both compliance and quality assurance standards of the Weingart Center’s Programs Department are met.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE, but are not limited to the following:
Plan, develop and conduct monthly internal audit reviews to assist ensuring compliance requirements are met; assist in developing and executing the monthly internal audit reviews and to ensure compliance requirements are met timely.
Demonstrate an understanding of homeless services programs and contract-related requirements.
Conduct both physical and electronic program participant file review to ensure contractual compliance as part of internal audit reviews; conduct comprehensive physical and electronic file reviews of programs and participants across all Weingart sites by identifying potential risks, developing strategies to mitigate these risks and implement preventive measures.
Assist in generating accurate and detailed monthly progress reports summarizing data, findings, and corrective action plans.
Assist in maintaining contract compliance standards to meet County, City, State and Federal guidelines as well as our funder requirements.
Maintain positive relationships and partnerships with community stakeholders, sub-contractors, and funders; collaborates and partners with sub-contractors, funders and external agencies.
Participates in both internal and external meetings and training as assigned.
Stay up to date on industry practices and regulatory guidelines.
Ability to identify staff training needs in areas of compliance for all program levels.
Other related duties as required.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Experience preferably in a social service and/or non-profit agency.
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal and time management skills.
Intermediate or advanced level understanding of Microsoft office, including Outlook.
Experience with HMIS (Homeless Management Information System) preferred.
Ability to troubleshoot issues and partner with all levels of employees to identify effective solutions.
Strong time management skills as it related to prioritizing, delegating, overseeing multiple projects, and ability to effectively manage own time.
Exhibits professional manner when interfacing with professional staff, WCA visitors, contractors, vendors and programs and services providers.
Flexibility in meeting deadlines and adjusting to changing priorities.
Knowledge of various funders and requirements such as DPSS, LAHSA, DMH, and DHS (highly preferred).
Sensitivity to the needs of low income and homeless clients.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree preferred, or a combination of education and experience will be considered.
Minimum of one (1) year experience in contract compliance, quality assurance, and social service program development.
Demonstrated abilities in management of multiple projects and priorities essential.
Current, valid California driver’s license with an acceptable/insurable driving record.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Sitting and standing for long periods of time, along with being able to move to various physical locations in the complex, some driving and stair climbing.
Ability to see, hear and talk clearly and receive instruction and give instructions.
Ability to operate a computer efficiently; must be able to operate all types of office equipment.
Work indoors in a temperature-controlled environment.
Complex reading and writing skills; ability to read, proof, and analyze complex documents.
High level concentration and attention to detail for extended periods of time required.
Ability to quickly organize and communicate thoughts and to understand communications from others.
Ability to work independently, with others, around others, has verbal contact with others, face-to-face contact with others and prioritizes work and makes decisions.
Ability to communicate effectively with individuals in the organization, on the Board, and outside providers and consultants.
Occasional travel required.
Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as defined by CDC.
