About This Position
Job Summary:
The Facilities Manager Assistant supports the Facilities Manager in overseeing the daily operations, maintenance, and safety of buildings, equipment, and grounds. This role ensures that facilities remain functional, safe, and well-maintained by assisting in repairs, vendor coordination, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintenance & Operations: Assist with routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical components.
- Vendor Coordination: Support communication and coordination with contractors, suppliers, and service providers for facility-related services.
- Safety & Compliance: Help ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations by conducting inspections and reporting issues.
- Space Management: Assist with office space planning, furniture setup, and workspace optimization.
- Inventory & Supplies: Monitor stock levels of facility supplies and coordinate orders as needed.
- Work Order Management: Track and prioritize maintenance requests to ensure timely completion.
- Emergency Preparedness: Assist in developing and implementing emergency response plans and procedures.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain records of maintenance activities, inspections, and compliance reports.
Support Services: Provide assistance in setting up events, moving equipment, and performing general facility upkeep.
Requirements:- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Previous experience in facilities management, maintenance, or a related field is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) is beneficial.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and facility management software.
- Physical ability to lift and move equipment as needed.
- Clean 10 year MVR
- Combination of office and on-site facility work.
- May require occasional after-hours availability for emergencies.
