Senior Account Executive
Summary
The Southwest Strategies Group is seeking a full-time, salaried Senior Account Executive (SAE) to join our Bay Area team. The SAE provides in-depth support to SWS Group clients by regularly working at a client location and immersing themselves in the client's company culture, vision, and project. We are seeking an individual who is ready to support unique communications needs by developing tailored strategies and tactics that get results. We want strong writers and researchers – those who enjoy jumping in and learning everything they can about a client or project.

Location and Travel:
This person must be located within San Fransisco/Bay Area. This role reports to a client site located in South San Francsico and this individual will be required to work out of the South San Francisco client office approximately 3 days per week (amount is subject to change depending on client need/availability). Additionally, this role may be required to occasionally work out of the SWS Group office, located in downtown San Francisco. Travel outside of San Francisco may be required up to 5-10% of the time. This role will include early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required.
Salary Range: $67,000-$85,000 (dependent on experience)
Responsibilities:
- Regularly work on-site at a client location representing the SWS Group of companies and our companies' communication expertise (1-2 times per week for meetings, tours and special events as needed)
- May serve as sole or primary point of contact with client and must have ability to work autonomously and with a team
- May serve as a client representative to lead tours or give presentations/updates to community groups as needed
- Develop a deep understanding of specific client project and day-to-day activity in order to facilitate the development and implementation of communications plans Participate in brainstorming regarding client direction in internal strategy meetings
- Create and update project files, meeting agendas and website content; collaborate with team members
- Partner with client to develop engaging and innovative content for social media, advertising, videos, websites, fact sheets, presentations and other collateral as required to assist in a strong communication strategy for the client
- Proofread news releases, newsletter articles, media pitches and other client materials as needed
- Work with the client's design team for production of collateral materials
- Assist in coordinating public meetings, tours and events, including attendee outreach and mobilization, and leading set up and cleanup activities
- Responsible for special event coordination, public workshops, and advisory/community committee processes, including conducting research, managing vendors, setting up and taking down, committee administration, event documentation and staffing events
- Respond to stakeholder inquiries and track outreach and activities
- Conduct field outreach, canvassing and other stakeholder-facing outreach activities
- Prepare reports on outreach, media, social media and other metrics to aid project planning and analysis
- Build and maintain meaningful relationships with targeted, high-level external audiences
- Identify and pursue opportunities to expand client base

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in public relations or related field
- 4+ years previous Public Relations, Marketing or Community Relations experience required
- Experience with client services and client relations; demonstrating diplomacy and tact
- Familiarity with developing key messaging, branding and public outreach materials
- Proven success in implementing marketing and communication plans
- Social media expertise, including advertising and targeting, preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Superior organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Extremely organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Fluency in Spanish or another language a bonus
- Experience working with diverse communities on sensitive issues is a plus
- Experience working on construction projects is a plus
