Job Description

The Accounting Manager is responsible for the company’s accounting functions including performing daily, weekly, monthly, and annual duties, as well as developing policies and procedures. We are looking for a candidate who wants to take on a new endeavor, grow with the company, and own the accounting process for an expanding industrial equipment company! The Accounting Manager will report to the Vice President and be supported by the Group Controller.

Pay Range: Open to Discussion

Job Responsibilities

• Accounts payable/accounts receivable oversight
• Month end closing process, including all accruals, supporting documentation and schedules
• General ledger maintenance and adjusting journal entries
• Support the operations/purchasing depts with inventory and cost accounting matters
• Manage the company’s fixed asset inventory
• Maintain the company’s cost center reporting data and structure
• Prepare requested data for annual financial review, global consolidation, tax returns & headquarters audit
• Preparation of monthly financial reports and other reports
• Primary contact for internal accounting related inquiries
• Oversee compliance related matters, including state and local tax
• Oversight of accounting document filing system
• Support local parent company, as needed

Desired Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required
• Minimum of 5-7 of experience in an accounting or finance role preferred
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks with a sense of urgency
• Well organized with an aptitude for details

• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and produce quality results under pressure
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
• Must be self-started and able to work independently with little supervision
• Preference will be given to those candidates with knowledge of Microsoft Business Central and experience in a manufacturing environment
