Log Truck Driver at Pike Lumber Company Inc – Akron, Indiana

Basic Function

Responsible for safely loading, hauling, and unloading logs and other company items. This is a short-haul position, and the driver will be home every night.

Responsibilities

1. Maintain a DOT acceptable driving record.
2. Safely load, haul and unload logs and other company items.
3. Routine maintenance on equipment.
4. Performs related work as required as directed by their supervisor.

1. Be able to walk over hilly or rough terrain periodically.
2. Be able to climb, squat, stoop and twist to maneuver into and out of equipment.
3. Be able to push or pull logs or other debris out of way.
4. Be able to drive for 10 or more hours.
5. Be able to lift and carry 40 pounds.
6. Be able to strap down loads.
