About This Position
Position Summary
The Data Analyst plays a critical role in supporting program operations, outcome evaluation, and grant compliance. This position is responsible for data collection, cleaning, analysis, and reporting across multiple mental health programs. The ideal candidate will have experience with performance metrics, program evaluation, and grant reporting within the nonprofit or healthcare sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Collect, validate, and maintain accurate programmatic data from clinical, outreach, and administrative teams.
Analyze program outcomes and service delivery metrics to support internal decision-making and continuous improvement.
Prepare and submit recurring grant reports to funders (e.g., monthly, quarterly, biannually, annually, calendar and fiscal), ensuring compliance with grant requirements.
Collaborate with the Grants Manager to track KPIs, client demographics, service utilization, and impact metrics for funded programs.
Create data visualizations, dashboards, and infographics to communicate findings to staff, board members, and stakeholders.
Support program evaluation by identifying trends, conducting root cause analyses, and developing actionable recommendations.
Maintain databases and data management systems (e.g., EHR, Excel, or similar platforms).
Ensure data security, privacy, and integrity in accordance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
Assist in preparing data for audits, monitoring visits, and board presentations.
Track and document all reporting deadlines and deliverables in coordination with program and grants teams.
Provide training and support to staff on data entry best practices and reporting tools.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Public Health, Psychology, Social Work, Statistics, or related field (Master’s preferred).
2+ years of professional experience in a data analysis or reporting role, preferably in a nonprofit, healthcare, or grant-funded setting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or other analytics/reporting tools.
Experience with data management systems and electronic medical record platforms or similar platforms.
Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and confidentiality in mental health data.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across diverse teams.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with nonprofit grant reporting requirements (e.g., state, federal, or private foundation grants).
Experience working in mental health or behavioral health settings.
Basic knowledge of statistical methods or data modeling techniques.
