About This Position
Job Description:
We are currently seeking skilled and experienced Electric Motor Winders to join our team. This role is essential to our operations, focusing on the rewinding, repairing, and testing of electric motors to ensure they meet industry standards and customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities:- Rewind 3-phase form coil and random wound stators with precision and accuracy.
- Rewind DC armatures and fields, ensuring compliance with technical requirements.
- Utilize electrical testing equipment, including surge testers, low resistance bridges, multimeters, megohmmeters, ammeters, and voltmeters to evaluate motor performance.
- Perform critical electrical tests, such as surge testing, hi-pot testing, polarity verification, resistance measurements, and megger readings to assess motor integrity.
- Disassemble and inspect motors to determine repair needs, document findings, and implement solutions.
- Work collaboratively with the team to meet production goals and maintain high-quality standards.
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures to ensure a secure work environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proven experience in electric motor winding is highly preferred.
- Must have the ability to read and interpret technical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Strong understanding of electrical principles and troubleshooting techniques.
- Must provide own basic hand tools (company provides specialized testing equipment).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Must be willing to work overtime as needed to meet project deadlines.
