Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Phone Room Operator/Scheduler to join our team. This hybrid role supports both phone room operations and front desk coverage, ensuring seamless communication, efficient scheduling, and a positive patient experience from first contact through check-in.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer and direct incoming calls promptly and professionally
  • Schedule and coordinate patient appointments accurately and efficiently
  • Triage calls appropriately, including urgent patient needs and clinical concerns
  • Provide clear communication to patients regarding appointments, instructions, and follow-ups
  • Support front desk operations as needed, including check-in, insurance verification, and patient assistance
  • Maintain accurate documentation of calls, messages, and appointments in the electronic system
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure smooth daily workflow
  • Assist with general administrative tasks related to scheduling and communication

Requirements:

Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Prior experience in a medical office, call center, or front desk role preferred, but not required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Comfortable working with phone systems, scheduling software, and electronic records
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality
