IPO Legal Assistant - Fresh Graduate (HK) at Sidley Austin LLP – Central, Texas

We are looking for IPO Legal Assistant. The candidate is expected to go on due diligence trips and do drafting for both HK and US IPOs. This role is based in Hong Kong. Fresh graduate candidate with a Law Degree is welcomed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Provide support to lawyers on a wide range of corporate transactions matters
2. Conduct legal research and review corporate documents
3. Assist lawyers in preparing legal documents, proof reading, printing and binding
4. Assist lawyers in conducting due diligence, including occasional business trips as assigned by lawyers and drafting due diligence questionnaires
5. Assist lawyers in carrying out prospectus verification
6. Draft prospectus under the supervision of lawyers
7. Maintain and update client files and documents
8. Coordinate internal or client events
9. Coordinate with marketing team for marketing materials updates
10. Additional ad hoc tasks as required

Requirements:

1. Postgraduate law students or fresh law degree graduates
2. Good communication skills
3. Fluent in written and spoken Mandarin and English, able to type and translate
4. Good team player
5. Familiar with Windows, Outlook and MS office applications
6. Able to handle multi-task effectively
7. Experience in legal document translation is a plus
