Host / Hostess at Fusion Hospitality – Tupelo, Mississippi

Responsible for ensuring the prompt recognition and seating of all guests as assigned and assisting the servers in providing attentive, pleasant, cheerful, courteous and efficient service to guests throughout their dining experience. Also responsible for assisting the cashier in the collection of payment for all guest transactions. • Organize greeting, seating and exiting of all guests using a professional, hospitable and courteous demeanor.
• Organize all reservations, banquets and guests using the most effective guest and restaurant conscious procedures.
• Professionally and effectively communicate with guests to ensure satisfaction.
• Organizes special requests, birthdays, large parties, and banquets.
• Maintain guest relationships to promote repeat business.
• Implement quick and efficient decisions based on guest and/or restaurant needs.
• Provide the highest quality of service to guests at all times.
• Maintains positive communication with all team members and guests.
• Aware of all guest needs, reservation needs and restaurant needs at all times.
• Full comprehension of all dining room and banquet room seating configurations.
• Knowledge of all food and beverage menus.
• Prepare cashier reports at end of shift.
• Ensure quality control of menus and with regard to cleanliness and appearance.
• Perform opening and closing duties according to established checklist.
• Know and understand state alcohol laws and guidelines.
• Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Maximizes efforts towards productivity, identifying problem areas and assisting in implementing solutions.
• Maintain a high standard of personal appearance, grooming, which includes wearing proper uniform and name tag.
• Attend monthly department meetings and training sessions as necessary.
• Anything that contributes to a positive culture and the success of the hotel.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
• One to two years previous experience in a similar position.
• POS experience preferred (Micros, Squirrel, etc.).
