Position Summary:

As an Expo at Mesero, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the flow of food from the kitchen to the guest. You will ensure that each dish is prepared accurately and presented beautifully, serving as the final quality checkpoint before it reaches our guests. You will work closely with the management, kitchen staff and team members to ensure a smooth, efficient service.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all food items are prepared and presented correctly according to Mesero's standards before leaving the kitchen.
• Coordinator orders between the kitchen and front of house team to ensure accurate and timely delivery of food orders.
• Help communicate any special requests or modifications on orders to the kitchen staff.
• Check food presentation, plate cleanliness and temperature to ensure consistency and quality.
• Assist with organizing and expediting orders to maintain a smooth workflow during peak service times.
• Ensure that the expo station is clean, sanitized, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Monitor order times of food preparation to ensure that all orders are delivered in a timely manner.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff to resolve any issues with food quality or timing.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a similar role within a fast-paced restaurant is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a high level of efficiency during peak hours.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
