Machine Operator at Abacus – Christiansburg, Virginia

• Coordinates with lead person or departmental supervisor any material or equipment problems to ensure product meets engineering specifications and quality standards.
• Must Preform considerable amounts of manual material handling in moving work on and off machines and between operations.
• Preforms paperwork necessary for production reporting.
• Operates material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, hoist, and hand trucks necessary in the performance of their work.
• Preforms housekeeping duties as requires or assigned
• Adheres to plant and departmental safety rules.

Requirements

• Must be able to read and interpret bills of material, operations sheets, and engineering drawings.
• 1 year experience required

Ability to handle 30lbs during the workday
