Job Description

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• Perform day-to-day maintenance tasks and participate in the preventative maintenance plan.
• Occasionally be on call.
• Assist in monitoring all work being performed by outsiders.
• Educate and train all members in compliance with governmental and safety regulations.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
• Communicate with all hotel department heads to stay informed of maintenance needs and ensure timely responses to requests.
• Respond in a courteous and prompt manner to all guest questions, complaints and/or requests to ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction.
• Carry out preventative maintenance program to ensure facility is maintained and in service for our guests.
• Perform and assist in overseeing the physical operations of the hotel, including maintenance and repair, and order parts and supplies in a timely and efficient manner while minimizing waste and maintaining “green” initiatives.
• May be responsible for hotel security to minimize risk of theft, crime and other hazards.
• Anything that contributes to a positive culture and the success of the hotel.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
• Some college or advanced vocational training preferred but not required
• One to two years previous experience in a similar position (i.e. general building maintenance, construction, etc.).
• Basic computer skills are a plus.
• Hotel experience preferred.
• Professional certifications and licenses will be given higher consideration.
• Valid driver license required to operate shuttles as needed.
