Assembly Operator at Guardian Bikes – Seymour, Indiana

All of our bikes are sold on guardianbikes.com and ship from our Indiana factory floor to our customer’s doors. We made the transition to USA manufacturing one year ago and established a facility in Seymour, Indiana.

Job Summary:
An Assembly Operator is responsible for all operational functions within his or her assigned area. This means he or she will arrive at the assembly line at the appropriate scheduled time with all needed tools for daily operations.

SPECIFIC TASKS, DUTIES, AND/OR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Follow direction of the assembly supervisor in regard to daily duties.
• Be on time for daily startup of manufacturing activities.
• Follow instruction from supervisor on positional duties.
• Adhere to safety measures sanctioned by Guardian management.
• Keep the work area clean and free from trash.
• Perform duties required to keep the production line running efficiently.
• Perform all other tasks issued by direct supervision that lie outside of the normal scope of the position.
• Adhere to break schedules and all other scheduled assignments.
• Maintain a friendly work environment with distraction or disruption.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to understand English on a limited basis in order to follow basic work instructions.
