Laboratory Director at Top Tier Reps LLC – Alexandria, Virginia

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Laboratory Director to lead our hospital-based clinical laboratory operations. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, drive innovation, and foster a culture of excellence in patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with CAP, CLIA, JCAHO, FDA, and CMS standards.
• Develop and implement departmental strategies to achieve goals in service quality, regulatory compliance, financial performance, and staff development.
• Monitor resource utilization and adjust operations to meet fiscal objectives; prepare Monthly Operating Review reports.
• Ensure adequate and qualified staffing through effective hiring, orientation, competency assessments, training, and performance management.
• Develop, implement, and annually review laboratory policies and procedures.
• Manage vendor relationships and supply contracts in collaboration with Laboratory Services and Supply Chain departments.
• Foster open communication within the department and encourage feedback for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Biomedical Science, Biology, or Chemistry required; Master's degree preferred.
• National certification as a Medical Technologist (ASCP) required.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive laboratory management experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in hospital clinical laboratories.
• Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, subject to applicable laws and regulations.
