PBX OPERATOR TELECOMMUNICATIONS at PACIFICA OF THE VALLEY CORP – Sun Valley, California

The PBX OPERATOR / RECEPTIONIST is for the timely answering and routing of all incoming telephone calls. In addition, functions as the Hospital’s front desk receptionist.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Operate telephone switchboard receiving incoming calls
• Use overhead paging, two-way radios, and other communication equipment to relay messages and transfer information
• Provide basic information regarding the Hospital to callers and visitors
• Announce and relay information concerning fire alarms, disasters, codes blue and other emergencies

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:

• High School Education/GED preferred
• Previous PBX experience and clerical experience preferably in a healthcare/hospital environment
• Excellent communication skills including correct grammar and spelling
• Excellent customer service skills
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
