MD - Medical Assistant at Willis-Knighton Health System – Shreveport, Louisiana

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to work in a busy endocrinology clinic. The clinic provides care to diabetic and endocrinology patients. A detailed-oriented, organized nurse who is able to do multitask will be the candidate offered the position. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: documentation in a electronic medical records. Triage patients utilizing assessment skills. Medical administration, reconciliation and education. Assisting with phone calls and managing patient medication refills. Works with the insurance companies on preauthorization's on all tests, procedures and medications. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Weekends and holidays off.
