Summary/Objective:
The Production Supervisor will play a key role in driving manufacturing operations, identifying, and implementing continuous improvement strategies, and facilitating the growth and development of our team members. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of CNC machining processes, quality management principles, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and employee engagement.
Requirements:Working Conditions:
- Primarily working indoors in a manufacturing machining environment.
- May sit/stand for 10 or more hours at a time.
- Prolonged exposure to noise, machinery, forklifts, metal shavings, and slick floors.
Essential Functions:

1. Ensure the steady and efficient flow of production through the manufacturing areas with respect to the provided production schedule and on-time delivery standards.
2. Supervise, teach, coach, and train all production personnel in the machining cells. Will be required to participate in performance evaluations, the onboarding process, and disciplinary situations.
3. Identify and troubleshoot downtime issues as they arise to minimize downtime or other inefficiencies.
4. Consult and collaborate with key players in other areas of the business to ensure the successful manufacturing of product demand.
5. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and measure operator performance and production factors.
6. Supervise, train, and ensure compliance of the quality management system (QMS) by all operators, coordinating guidance on quality-related matters.
7. Conduct training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members.
8. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall quality and efficiency.
9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
10. Implement measures to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
11. Other duties as assigned.
Competencies:
1. Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly preferred.
2. Proficient communication in English through written and verbal methods.
3. Ability to read, interpret, and train on use of micrometers, calipers, gauges, and dials.
4. Mechanically and technically inclined.
5. Proven experience in a leadership role.
6. Great time management and organizational skills.
7. Dependable team player.
8. Consistent adherence to safe workplace practices.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This role is directly responsible for leading all CNC machine operators.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk and hear. The team member is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The position requires frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling objects that are up to 50 pounds. The team member may frequently be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time salary position, and hours/days of work are decided by production schedules and the direct supervisor.
Travel:
No travel is required for this position.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience in manufacturing environment, preferably in CNC machining.
2. Demonstrated success in a supervisory or leadership role, with at least 3 years of experience.
3. Strong leadership ability with capability to lead, manage, and hold others accountable toward achieving production targets.
4. Aptitude for problem solving and decision making in a fast-paced environment.
5. Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and team culture.
6. Familiarity with production scheduling and planning.
7. Proficiency with computers, software, and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of ERP systems is helpful.
