Master Scheduler

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Master Scheduler in the United States.

This role is central to ensuring that large-scale, complex software programs are planned, executed, and tracked with precision across commercial Agile environments and government/defense contracts. You will own the development and maintenance of Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) that connect engineering execution, vendor delivery, and contractual milestones into a single source of truth. The position requires strong systems thinking to align Agile workflows with structured program planning expectations. You will work closely with engineering, program leadership, and external partners to ensure visibility, accountability, and delivery discipline across all initiatives. This is a highly strategic role that directly impacts program success, customer confidence, and operational execution. The environment is fast-paced, mission-driven, and highly collaborative, with strong emphasis on rigor, transparency, and scalable planning practices.

Accountabilities:
  • Develop, maintain, and own Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for complex, multi-stream software programs spanning Agile development, vendors, and government deliverables.
  • Translate program requirements, technical scope, and statements of work into structured schedules with clear dependencies, milestones, and critical paths.
  • Ensure schedule integrity across engineering execution, subcontractors, and external integrations while maintaining alignment with program objectives.
  • Bridge Agile delivery practices with government contracting requirements, mapping sprints, releases, and backlogs to contractual milestones and reporting structures.
  • Identify, analyze, and communicate schedule risks, resource constraints, and dependency conflicts to leadership in a timely and actionable manner.
  • Support government and defense program execution by ensuring schedules meet compliance, audit, and reporting expectations.
  • Integrate internal and external vendor timelines into a unified program schedule that reflects end-to-end execution.
  • Establish and maintain scheduling standards, best practices, and tooling strategies while educating teams on IMS usage and program planning discipline.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in program scheduling, program planning, or large-scale project/program delivery environments.
  • Proven experience building and managing Integrated Master Schedules for complex, multi-workstream programs.
  • Strong background supporting Agile software development programs at scale.
  • Experience working with multi-vendor, cross-functional engineering, and dependency-heavy program environments.
  • Familiarity with government or defense contracting, including milestone-based delivery and formal reporting requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent IMS platforms.
  • Strong analytical and systems thinking skills with the ability to manage complex interdependencies.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to align technical, operational, and executive stakeholders.
  • Experience coaching or educating teams on program planning methodologies is highly valued.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary range of $100,000–$150,000 depending on experience
  • Bonus and equity opportunities
  • 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees and their families
  • Unlimited PTO with managerial approval
  • Fully remote, flexible work environment with autonomy over daily schedule
  • 14 weeks of fully paid parental leave
  • Optional 401(k) plan, FSA, and equity incentives
  • Career growth and advancement opportunities in a rapidly scaling organization
  • Professional development and continuous learning support
  • Mental health benefits and wellness support programs
  • Additional cost-effective healthcare and wellness solutions
