Role Summary
As a Logistics Specialist (Shipping, Receiving & Kitting), you’ll play a pivotal role in managing inventory flow and ensuring accurate, compliant shipping and receiving processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain material traceability, support production needs, and deliver high-quality logistics operations in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare shipments by staging, packing, protecting, and labeling materials according to detailed specifications
- Generate and verify shipping documentation, including material certifications and customer-required paperwork
- Ensure proper product handling and maintain material traceability throughout the shipping process
- Ship materials using approved carriers in alignment with packing instructions
- Maintain accurate shipping and inventory records
- Perform inventory transactions, including stocking, labeling, and tracking materials
- Conduct cycle counts and support physical inventory processes
- Monitor and replenish shipping and stocking supplies
- Safely operate equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and ladders
- Support kitting and inventory control activities as needed
- Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with team members to support operational efficiency and continuous improvement
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
- 3–5 years of experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, or inventory control
- Experience with data entry and inventory systems
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math and computer skills
- Ability to follow procedures and maintain high-quality standards
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks (standing, bending, lifting, walking) throughout the shift
Preferred:
- Experience in a regulated environment (medical device, pharmaceutical, or similar)
- Familiarity with inventory control processes and traceability requirements
- Knowledge of safety and compliance standards
