This is a senior commercial leadership role responsible for defining how innovative therapies achieve successful market entry, access, and long-term adoption across complex healthcare systems. You will operate at the intersection of commercial strategy, market access, pricing, and early launch planning for a late-stage biotechnology pipeline focused on inflammatory and rheumatic diseases. Acting as a key strategic partner to R&D, Medical, Regulatory, and Corporate Strategy, you will help shape asset direction from Phase 2 through commercialization. The role requires both visionary thinking and hands-on execution, with significant influence on pricing strategy, payer engagement, and launch readiness. You will also lead cross-functional alignment on value generation, evidence needs, and global commercialization strategy. This is a highly visible position with direct impact on pipeline value creation and enterprise growth.
In this role, you will lead the development and execution of integrated commercial and market access strategies that maximize long-term product value and global adoption:
- Define global pricing strategy, including pricing corridors, gross-to-net assumptions, and scenario modeling to support launch decisions.
- Develop payer and HTA evidence strategies, identifying gaps and shaping data generation to support reimbursement success.
- Design early payer engagement and patient access strategies, including hub services, reimbursement support, and patient services models.
- Build US and global commercialization strategies, including launch sequencing, channel strategy, and access optimization across markets.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to influence Phase 3 clinical design and ensure alignment with commercial and access requirements.
- Lead commercial forecasting, scenario planning, and ROI modeling to support portfolio prioritization and investment decisions.
- Drive integrated launch planning, including commercial resourcing, organizational design, and external partnerships.
- Engage with KOLs, payers, and external advisors to generate insights that inform strategy and execution.
- Serve as a senior commercial voice on product teams, executive forums, and investor-facing materials.
- Build and mentor a growing commercial team as the organization scales.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience in biotech or pharmaceutical commercialization with strong expertise across market access and strategic leadership:
- 12+ years of experience in biotech/pharma, with a strong focus on commercial strategy, market access, and/or marketing.
- Proven experience developing commercial and access strategies for assets in Phase 2 and Phase 3 development.
- Strong background in launch planning, pricing strategy, payer engagement, and patient access models.
- Experience influencing clinical development strategy, including Phase 3 trial design and target product profiles.
- Deep understanding of global payer dynamics, reimbursement frameworks, and healthcare access systems.
- Strong forecasting, financial modeling, and scenario planning capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives across R&D, Medical, Regulatory, and Commercial teams.
- Excellent executive communication skills with experience presenting to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence without authority in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience building and mentoring high-performing commercial teams is strongly preferred.
- Competitive base salary range of $330,000 to $357,000, based on experience, education, and location.
- Performance-based bonus and equity grant opportunities.
- Comprehensive benefits package including health, welfare, and retirement programs.
- Unlimited paid time off (PTO).
- Two company-wide shutdown periods each year (one week each).
- Remote-first work environment with periodic in-person collaboration sessions.
- Strong commitment to professional development and career growth.
- Opportunity to shape the commercial strategy of a high-impact, late-stage biotechnology pipeline.
