ABOUT THE ROLE:The Business Development Executive is responsible for opening doors, building industrial networks, and initiating qualified customer engagements aligned with Gradions industrial automation and digital transformation strategy. The role also plays an active part in external industry events, public representation, and customer workshops, supporting Gradions long-term automation campaigns and consultative market positioning.In this role, you will:

- Network & Business Development:
- Build and maintain a strong network within manufacturing and industrial automation ecosystems.
- Open access to factory owners, plant managers, operations leaders, and automation decision-makers.
- Identify and initiate strategic opportunities aligned with Gradions automation focus areas.
- First Observation & Opportunity Identification:
- Conduct initial discovery discussions and on-site factory observations.
- Understand customer operations, automation maturity, and digital transformation needs.
- Identify potential automation and digitalization opportunities at a high level.
- Prepare structured summaries and insights for internal teams.
- Automation Campaign, Events & Market Outreach:
- Actively participate in external industry events, conferences, and partner activities.
- Represent Gradion as an attendee, speaker, panel participant, or moderator when appropriate.
- Promote Gradions automation strategy, use cases, and consulting approach in public forums.
- Support lead generation and relationship building through event participation.
- Workshops & ACE Engagement:
- Actively promote, organize, and host customer workshops at Gradion - ACE (Automation Center of Excellence).
- Engage customers through demos, presentations, and structured discussions at ACE.
- Work closely with solution and pre-sales teams to ensure workshop content aligns with customer needs and campaign themes.
- Collaboration with Pre-Sales & Solution Teams:
- Work closely with pre-sales and solution teams to hand over qualified opportunities.
- Provide clear customer context, stakeholder information, and initial findings.
- Support joint customer meetings, workshops, and presentations.
- Relationship Development:
- Build long-term relationships with key accounts, partners, and industry stakeholders.
- Ensure Gradion is involved early in customers automation and digital transformation planning.
- Campaign Outlook & Strategic Alignment:
- Support Gradions long-term automation campaign and consulting-led market positioning.
- Focus on education, awareness, and early engagement rather than short-term sales.
- Actively contribute to Gradions visibility through events, workshops, and public engagement.
- Experience & Background
- 3-7 years of experience in business development, sales, or consulting in industrial or B2B technology environments.
- Experience working with manufacturing, factory, or automation-related customers.
- Proven ability to build networks and open doors at decision-maker level.
- Comfortable representing a company publicly and working in a travel-intensive role.
- Industrial & Automation Knowledge:
- Basic to solid understanding of industrial automation and manufacturing operations.
- Familiarity with AGV/AMR, MES, ERP, WMS, robotics, or shop-floor digitalization concepts.
- Strong interest in digital transformation and smart factory initiatives.
- Communication & Business Skills:
- Ability to conduct structured discovery conversations with customers.
- Confident presenter to industrial and management audiences.
- Able to translate customer needs into clear input for technical teams.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong relationship builder with a consultative mindset.
- Clear communicator and attentive listener.
- Professional and credible in factory and public settings.
- Self-driven, proactive, and collaborative.
- Profound English language skills (Chinese or Korean a valued plus)
