This hands-on position involves skilled tree climbing, pruning, and removals using rope and saddle techniques, aerial lifts, and crane operations. Key Responsibilities

• Perform expert tree climbing and removals using rope & saddle techniques, aerial lifts, and crane ball riding.

• Dismantle trees in tight or hazardous environments using proper rigging methods.

• Operate chainsaws aloft and on the ground safely and effectively.

• Collaborate with the ground crew to ensure safe, efficient jobsite execution.

• Evaluate trees and job conditions to identify hazards and determine removal methods.

• Assist with stump grinding, chipping, and full site cleanup.

• Adhere to company safety standards, OSHA regulations, and ANSI Z133 guidelines.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in tree climbing and removal operations.

• Proficient in rope and saddle climbing, rigging, and aerial lift techniques.

• Experience operating chainsaws, wood chippers, and aerial equipment.

• Physically fit and comfortable working at heights and in all weather conditions.

• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

• Detail-oriented with a commitment to safe and high-quality work.

Preferred Certifications & Licenses

• Massachusetts 2A Hoisting License (Hydraulics)

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification

• ISA Certified Arborist or Tree Worker designation

• First Aid / CPR Certification

• CDL Class B or A
