Job Overview:
The Assistant Director of Patient Care's role will be to oversee and delegate the daily operations of the Preadmissions Testing unit, while fostering a positive work environment. They will be responsible for anticipating and addressing the complex, individual needs of patients and will work to create an efficient workflow within the unit.
Required:
- BSN
- Graduated from an accredited school of nursing
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience
- Active RN New Jersey License
- BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association
Essential Duties:

Assists Director of Patient Care with ensuring that quality nursing care is delivered to all patients in his/her nursing units in accordance with the mission, vision, values, policies, procedures and program plans of the hospital

Assists with the development of patient care standards, orientation and continuing education

Participates in the interviews and hiring of potential candidates for open positions on the unit

Provides input into evaluation and/or corrective action of staff performance in accordance with organization policies

Participates in nursing Quality Improvement

Assists with unit administration, including scheduling, payroll and maintenance of supplies and equipment

Maintains and role models clinical skills necessary to provide care for patients

Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient's age-specific needs and provide age-specific treatment and care

Ensure that unit/department/division is in compliance with all applicable policies, laws and regulations
Schedule:
- 40 hours a week - Day Shift
