Pay Range: $121,935.54 - $156,140.92 per hour

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

The Assistant Director of Patient Care's role will be to oversee and delegate the daily operations of the Preadmissions Testing unit, while fostering a positive work environment. They will be responsible for anticipating and addressing the complex, individual needs of patients and will work to create an efficient workflow within the unit.

Required:

  • BSN
  • Graduated from an accredited school of nursing
  • Minimum 2 years of acute care experience
  • Active RN New Jersey License
  • BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association

Essential Duties:

  • Assists Director of Patient Care with ensuring that quality nursing care is delivered to all patients in his/her nursing units in accordance with the mission, vision, values, policies, procedures and program plans of the hospital

  • Assists with the development of patient care standards, orientation and continuing education

  • Participates in the interviews and hiring of potential candidates for open positions on the unit

  • Provides input into evaluation and/or corrective action of staff performance in accordance with organization policies

  • Participates in nursing Quality Improvement

  • Assists with unit administration, including scheduling, payroll and maintenance of supplies and equipment

  • Maintains and role models clinical skills necessary to provide care for patients

  • Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient's age-specific needs and provide age-specific treatment and care

  • Ensure that unit/department/division is in compliance with all applicable policies, laws and regulations

Schedule:

  • 40 hours a week - Day Shift
