Pre-Employment Requirements:
- Drug test
- Criminal Background check – no prior convictions, or at least none related to financials
- TB skin test: Must have a test or provide proof of one within the past year.
- Must have a valid driver's license, and/or reliable transportation.
- Master’s degree in accounting required
- Licensed CPA in Kentucky
- 5+ years of experience in a senior financial leadership role.
Position Summary: Oversee all aspects of the financial operations, including accounting, tax preparation, budgeting, forecasting, processing payroll, developing and implementing financial strategy, and partnering with the CEO and other senior leadership for strategic planning.
Skill Sets: Demonstrate good oral and written communications. Maintain supportive and encouraging working relationships with supervisor, leaders and clients. Demonstrate a non-judgmental and non-biased disposition regarding clients. Advanced computer skills are required. Community-based experience preferred, customer service oriented, well-developed presentation skills required. Knowledge of Federal, State and Accreditation requirements are preferred.
Physical and Environmental Demands: Visual acuity and manual dexterity are needed for completing paperwork. Frequent talking and hearing are required for communicating with leaders, families and other service providers. The physical demands are light with walking, standing, and occasional stooping.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide quality customer service to personnel, persons served, families and stakeholders.
- Help maintain the health, safety and welfare of personnel, person served and stakeholders.
- Ensure the agency is operating under CARF accreditation standards.
- Ensure that state and federal licensure and regulations are being followed.
- Monitor and evaluate financial internal controls.
- Develop and implement the company's financial strategy, including long-term financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, payroll reports, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Manage the company's capital structure, including debt and equity financing.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve profitability, cash flow and revenue cycle efficiency.
- Identify and manage financial risks, including market risk, credit risk, and operational risk.
- Partner with the CEO and other senior executives to make strategic decisions.
- Stay up to date on current financial trends and regulations.
- Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual reporting to ELC.
- Collaborate with CPA to devise most beneficial tax strategies for the company.
- Collaborate with CPA to complete an annual financial audit or review per CARF standards.
- Collaborate with Operations department to conduct quarterly billing audit per CARF standards and meet monthly to discuss billing trends.
- Monitoring and executing accounts payable in a timely manner.
- Ensure company policies and procedures are upheld.
