Local Delivery Driver in Carrollton, Texas at DOW Technologies

DOW Technologies is seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Delivery Driver for local deliveries out of our Carrollton, TX warehouse location. This role is essential for the timely and safe delivery of our products from DOW’s distribution center to our valued customers. The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, physical strength, good communication skills and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Primary Job Duties.

As a DOW Local Delivery Driver, you will:

• Safely operate a company provided Dodge Ram 3500 Tradesman Cargo Van High Roof, extended wheelbase, or similar vehicle, to deliver DOW’s products to residential and commercial locations.
• Deliver orders to local customers within Dallas/Fort Worth Area and sometimes beyond as deliveries require.
• Adhere to all federal, state and local transportation & traffic laws and company policies operating the delivery vehicle.
• Follow assigned routes and time schedules.
• Communicate with customers pre-delivery with your estimated time of arrival of their order.
• Assist with loading, transporting, and unloading large and heavy items from truck using additional equipment, such as forklifts, hand trucks and dollies, as needed.
• Review orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete.
• Ensure all deliveries are completed in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, including pictures and obtain customer signatures as required.
• Establish and maintain outstanding relationships with customers.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing any delivery-related inquiries or issues.
• Assist local branch with non-driving warehouse duties including but not limited to: Inventory Management, Stock Replenishment, Loading and Unloading, Assisting Customers, Cleaning the Warehouse

Required Qualifications.

To be qualified for this position, you must:

• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Maintain a clean driving record.
• Pass a drug test and maintain a clean criminal background.
• Abide by all company and department policies and procedures.
• Have the flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Maintain punctuality, good attendance, and excellent time management skills.

Physical Requirements.

Without limitation on a daily basis, you should be able to:

• Grasp, sit, stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach up.
• Safely lift and carry up to 100 pounds and push / pull heavy loads up to 500 pounds using equipment (such as dollies and pallet jacks).
• Sit and drive safely for up to 8-10 hours a day or as workload permits.
• Work in a physical environment t in a consistently safe and alert manner.
