HSPRS Community Engagement Officer

This role focuses on strengthening support systems for unaccompanied and immigrant children by building and nurturing community partnerships across the country. You will play a key role in expanding access to critical services by connecting with local organizations, schools, healthcare providers, and advocacy groups. Working in a mission-driven, child-centered environment, you will help identify service gaps and develop strategies to improve care pathways. The position blends outreach, data analysis, and strategic planning to enhance collaboration and maximize impact. You will engage with diverse stakeholders while contributing to national-level initiatives that promote safety, stability, and well-being. Accountabilities:
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with community organizations, schools, healthcare providers, and legal service groups to expand referral networks.
  • Conduct outreach and deliver training sessions to raise awareness about the needs of unaccompanied and immigrant children.
  • Represent the organization at community events, coalitions, and stakeholder meetings to strengthen visibility and collaboration.
  • Perform landscape mapping to identify service gaps, potential partners, and regional strengths, maintaining an updated partner database.
  • Analyze trends and data to inform outreach strategies and improve service accessibility for children.
  • Evaluate partnerships through ROI assessments, tracking engagement metrics, referral outcomes, and overall impact.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align outreach efforts, ensure consistent messaging, and support program development.
  • Create and distribute communication materials, including presentations, toolkits, and informational resources.
  • Ensure compliance with reporting protocols and support additional responsibilities as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, sociology, community development, public administration, communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in community outreach, stakeholder engagement, or partnership development.
  • Background in social services or nonprofit environments, with experience supporting vulnerable populations preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and public speaking skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Experience in landscape analysis, partner mapping, and basic data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Familiarity with community resource networks and trends affecting immigrant or at-risk youth populations.
  • Proficiency in digital tools, social media, and content development.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly preferred.
  • Ability to work remotely with reliable internet access and willingness to travel domestically as needed.
