Azure Data Scientist in India at Jobgether

This role focuses on designing, developing, and optimising machine learning solutions within a cloud-based Azure environment, translating complex business needs into data-driven models and actionable insights. You will work across the full data science lifecycle, from problem definition and feature engineering to model training, evaluation, and experimentation. The position involves close collaboration with data engineers, solution architects, and business stakeholders to ensure data readiness and alignment with real-world business outcomes. You will leverage Azure Machine Learning tools and Python-based frameworks to build scalable, production-ready models. A strong emphasis is placed on experimentation, documentation, and continuous improvement of model performance. This is a hands-on technical role in a collaborative, innovation-driven environment where data science directly supports business impact.

• Translate business objectives into machine learning problems, defining clear success metrics and expected outcomes.
• Design, build, and optimise data models and pipelines suitable for analytical and machine learning use cases.
• Perform feature engineering and feature selection to improve model accuracy and relevance to business needs.
• Develop, train, evaluate, and iterate machine learning models using Azure Machine Learning tools.
• Run experiments, track performance metrics, and manage model lifecycle using Azure ML environments and notebooks.
• Collaborate with data engineers and architects to ensure data quality, availability, and readiness for modelling.
• Document model assumptions, methodologies, and results for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Work closely with business teams to ensure models deliver measurable and meaningful business value.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or related analytical roles.
• Strong proficiency in Python for data analysis and machine learning development.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Machine Learning, including workspaces, experiments, and model management.
• Experience using Azure ML Python SDK (v2) and Jupyter Notebooks for model development and experimentation.
• Solid understanding of machine learning concepts, including regression, classification, and clustering techniques.
• Ability to translate business requirements into structured machine learning solutions with measurable outcomes.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal, for cross-functional collaboration.
• Microsoft certifications such as Azure AI Fundamentals (AI-900) and Azure Data Fundamentals (DP-900) are required.
• Familiarity with ML libraries such as scikit-learn, pandas, and NumPy is a plus, along with experience in cross-functional teams.
