The Respiratory Therapist plays a critical role in providing specialized care to pediatric patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders. Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.

  • Basic computer proficiency for documentation and communication purposes.
  • Strong manual dexterity and physical stamina to perform clinical procedures and operate equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a skilled nursing facility.
  • Advanced certifications such as Neonatal/Pediatric Respiratory Care Specialist (NPS) or Adult Critical Care Specialist (ACCS).

  • Continuing education or training in the latest respiratory therapy techniques and protocols.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments and develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Administer respiratory therapies such as oxygen delivery, aerosol medications, and mechanical ventilation support.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary, documenting all care provided accurately.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and provide education to patients and families about respiratory health.
