You will lead a team of DevOps engineers responsible for delivering reliable, compliant, and automated cloud infrastructure solutions within a highly regulated Azure Government environment. The position combines technical depth with people leadership, requiring you to guide engineering teams, standardize DevSecOps practices, and ensure seamless CI/CD delivery across complex applications. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product, QA, and security stakeholders to align infrastructure and deployment strategies with strict federal requirements. This is a hands-on leadership role where your decisions directly impact system availability, security posture, and healthcare service delivery at scale.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Define and enforce DevOps best practices, standards, and governance across CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, and release processes.
- Design, implement, and maintain fully automated CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and related tools.
- Oversee deployment, monitoring, and operational stability of cloud-based applications within Azure Government environments.
- Act as a DevOps subject matter expert, guiding engineering teams on source control, build automation, testing, and deployment strategies.
- Partner with engineering, QA, security, and product teams to ensure secure, compliant, and high-quality software delivery.
- Manage infrastructure-as-code and automation using tools such as Bicep, PowerShell, and Azure APIs.
- Ensure compliance with federal security requirements including STIG and PRISMA standards.
- Support release management across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
- Conduct advanced troubleshooting, incident response, and performance optimization across the cloud stack.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or infrastructure-focused technical roles.
- Proven experience in technical leadership or team management within DevOps environments.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure, including Azure Government Cloud (IL2/IL4).
- Deep experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Git-based source control management.
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure services such as Azure Functions, API Management, Key Vault, Entra, and related services.
- Experience with .NET/C#, Windows Server environments, and Visual Studio development workflows.
- Strong understanding of DevSecOps principles, Agile/SAFe methodologies, and software delivery lifecycles.
- Experience supporting federal or DoD environments, including security compliance frameworks (STIG, PRISMA).
- Strong troubleshooting, systems analysis, and incident response skills across distributed cloud systems.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Public Trust clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
- Microsoft Azure DevOps or related certifications are a plus.
- Competitive annual salary range of $130,000 – $170,000 depending on experience.
