This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of Jira Cloud environments and play a key part in improving how project teams plan, track, and deliver work. You will design, configure, and optimize scalable Jira solutions that enhance workflow efficiency and support better decision-making across the organization. Working closely with project management teams, you will translate business needs into structured technical configurations, automations, and reporting capabilities. The role is highly hands-on and requires someone who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where system optimization directly impacts productivity. You will also contribute to knowledge sharing by training and supporting internal users on Jira best practices. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys combining technical administration with process improvement and user enablement.
- Administer and continuously optimize Jira Cloud environments, ensuring system stability and performance improvements
- Design, build, and maintain Jira automations to streamline workflows and enhance team efficiency
- Configure and customize Jira projects, including workflows, issue types, permission schemes, and screen layouts
- Collaborate closely with Project Management teams to translate business requirements into effective Jira solutions
- Troubleshoot system issues, provide user support, and ensure smooth platform adoption across teams
- Document configurations, processes, and best practices to ensure consistency and scalability
- Deliver training and cross-functional knowledge transfer to internal teams on Jira usage and implemented solutions
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a Jira Administrator with strong hands-on expertise
- Advanced knowledge of Jira Cloud, including automation rules and system customization
- Proven experience in configuring Jira projects (workflows, schemes, permissions, issue types, and related components)
- Strong ability to translate business needs into technical Jira solutions in collaboration with stakeholders
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in training, mentoring, or supporting end users and internal teams
- Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to work without visa sponsorship
