About This Position
The CT Tech performs high-quality computed tomography (CT) imaging to support the diagnosis and treatment of ear, nose, and throat conditions. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate imaging, maintaining patient safety, and supporting efficient clinic operations in a fast-paced ENT environment.
Essential Responsibilities:- Perform CT scans as ordered, with a focus on sinus, temporal bone, and head/neck imaging
- Prepare and position patients while ensuring comfort and safety
- Operate CT equipment and adjust settings to produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Review images for accuracy and completeness prior to provider or radiologist review
- Document procedures and maintain accurate patient records in the EMR
- Follow all radiation safety protocols and infection control standards
- Educate patients on procedures and address questions to ensure a positive experience
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to support workflow and patient care
- Maintain imaging equipment and exam room cleanliness; report any issues promptly
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- ARRT certification in Radiography (R); CT certification preferred or required within a specified timeframe
- 1+ year of CT experience preferred
- Current BLS certification
- Experience in ENT or specialty clinic setting
- Familiarity with sinus CT protocols or cone beam CT
- Experience with EMR and PACS systems
- Strong attention to detail and image quality
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume setting
- Excellent patient care and communication skills
- Knowledge of radiation safety and imaging best practices
