This role sits at the intersection of data, audience intelligence, and storytelling within a fast-paced digital media environment. You will transform first-party data and research into actionable insights that shape advertising strategy, audience understanding, and editorial decision-making. Working across multiple teams, you will help translate complex behavioral and survey data into clear narratives that support revenue growth and stronger client partnerships. The position blends analytics, research, and communication, requiring both technical rigor and strong storytelling ability. You will contribute to the development of proprietary insights products while helping manage and grow an engaged consumer research community. This is a highly collaborative role where your insights directly influence business strategy and advertiser success.
- Develop a deep understanding of audiences across multiple content franchises using mixed-method research and data analysis techniques.
- Design and execute end-to-end research projects, including survey strategy, questionnaire design, programming, distribution, and analysis.
- Analyze first-party data such as ad performance, subscriber behavior, and survey results to generate actionable business insights.
- Query and explore datasets using BI tools (e.g., Lightdash) to support reporting, audience analysis, and sales enablement.
- Translate complex data into compelling narratives, reports, and presentations for internal stakeholders and external clients.
- Support the development and growth of proprietary research communities and insights products, including panel management and operations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, editorial, and strategy teams to inform decision-making and client solutions.
- 2+ years of experience in research, insights, analytics, or a similar role within digital media, publishing, or agency environments.
- Hands-on experience managing end-to-end survey research, including design, programming, execution, and analysis.
- Strong proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, with understanding of basic statistics and research methodologies.
- Experience working closely with ad sales, marketing, or brand partnership teams.
- Ability to transform data into clear, compelling, and client-ready narratives and presentations.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, comfortable engaging with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Highly organized, self-directed, and capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
