About This Position
Akira Technologies is seeking an experienced .NET / C# Developer to support the design, development, testing, and sustainment of mission-critical applications within a secure government environment. The selected candidate will contribute across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), support database development efforts, mentor junior personnel, and assist with defect tracking and resolution activities.
This position requires an active TS/SCI clearance with SBI and the ability to obtain additional compartmented accesses. This is also an onsite role supporting a government client in Fort Belvoir, VA.
Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain web applications using MS .NET, C#, MVC 4+, and IIS on Windows Server
- Support all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance
- Develop and maintain SQL Server stored procedures and database-driven functionality
- Perform software testing activities including: Unit Testing, System Testing, Functional Testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Document and track software defects using enterprise bug tracking systems
- Coordinate defect resolution with developers, testers, and project managers
- Mentor junior team members on development standards, tools, and best practices
- Support configuration management and deployment activities in controlled environments
- Ensure compliance with secure coding standards and mission environment requirements
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience supporting .NET development
- MS .NET
- C#
- MVC 4+
- IIS / Windows Server web development
- Minimum 5 years of experience supporting the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Minimum 5 years of experience supporting software development testing (Unit, System, Functional, or UAT)
- Minimum 5 years of experience developing SQL stored procedures
- Minimum 5 years of experience mentoring junior technical personnel
- Minimum 5 years of experience documenting software defects using bug tracking tools
- Active TS/SCI clearance with SBI
- Ability to obtain SI, TK, G, HCS, and NATO Secret accesses
- DoD 8140.03 IAT Level II (Intermediate) certification required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Intelligence Community or DoD programs
- Experience working in Agile or hybrid Agile environments
- Familiarity with secure coding practices aligned with RMF/STIG guidance
- Experience supporting applications hosted on Windows Server production environments
- Experience modernizing legacy .NET applications
Salary Range: $135,000 - $175,000
Akira’s pay range for this position considers various factors including skills, years of experience, training, licenses, certifications, alignment with market data, and internal equity in the organization.
