This role plays a critical part in supporting the financial integration and accounting accuracy of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures within a fast-paced healthcare services organization. You will be responsible for managing complex accounting workstreams across multiple transactions, ensuring compliance with GAAP and delivering accurate financial reporting throughout the deal lifecycle. Operating in a highly collaborative environment, you will partner closely with Finance, Operations, Legal, and leadership teams to interpret transaction structures and translate them into proper accounting treatment. The position requires strong technical accounting expertise, particularly in purchase accounting and post-close processes, along with the ability to manage multiple concurrent deals. You will also contribute to process improvements and financial analysis initiatives that enhance efficiency and control. This is a high-impact role suited for a detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a dynamic, transaction-driven environment.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead accounting activities for entity transactions including acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, and joint ventures, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Prepare and post general ledger journal entries related to purchase accounting, deconsolidation, and post-close adjustments.
  • Conduct accounting due diligence by reviewing seller financials and billing data to identify risks and financial implications.
  • Interpret legal agreements to ensure proper accounting treatment and alignment with GAAP standards.
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding of entities, including integration into accounting systems and processes.
  • Track and monitor transition service agreements and ensure timely resolution of post-close financial matters.
  • Perform cash analysis, net working capital calculations, and reconciliation of entity-level financial data.
  • Analyze income statements, investigate variances, and provide commentary on financial performance trends.
  • Coordinate transitions of new entities to internal accounting teams and provide training on accounting policies and procedures.
  • Support process improvement initiatives, financial analysis, and ad hoc projects within the Center of Excellence.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited institution required.
  • Active CPA license required.
  • Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, including at least 1 year in revenue recognition.
  • Strong understanding and practical application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Experience managing complex accounting processes and tracking multiple concurrent projects or transactions.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; ability to quickly adapt to accounting systems and reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and resolve discrepancies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact across finance, operations, legal, and leadership teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Experience with tools such as Smartsheet or IBM Planning & Analytics is a plus.
