Job Description
The Security Administrative Assistant supports the security department by managing administrative functions that ensure efficient operations and compliance within a secured facility. Responsibilities include coordinating communication across departments, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with scheduling and reporting. The role also involves classified document control, and classification management. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who handles sensitive information with discretion and upholds strict confidentiality. The Security Administrative Assistant contributes to maintaining a safe and secure environment for personnel, visitors, and organizational assets.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma (BA/BS Preferred)
- Proven experience in an administrative or clerical role, preferably within a security or related environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a security department or with security protocols.
- Familiarity with security management software or databases.
- Basic knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements related to security.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain security documentation, access logs, and compliance records.
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of security policies, procedures, and training materials.
- Monitor and respond to security-related inquiries via phone, email, or in person, ensuring timely and accurate information flow.
- Support the security team in organizing audits, inspections, and investigations by compiling necessary documentation and data.
Active T5 (Top Secret) security clearance is required.
