JOB TITLE Coordinator, Volunteers & Events

FSLA STATUS Full-time, Hourly

REPORTS TO Executive Director

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The Coordinator, Volunteers & Events is responsible for recruiting, training, and

engaging volunteers, coordinating events and assisting the Executive Director with engaging donors in the mission of CU at Home.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITES:

Organizational (10%)

? Commit to mission and vision and role model C-U at Home’s core value

? Follow the guidelines, policies, procedures, and general philosophy of the organization

? Participate in administrative team operational and strategic meetings

Volunteer Engagement (50%)

? Carry out CU at Home’s volunteer engagement strategy

? Recruit a set of strong volunteers and volunteer groups, episodic and consistent

? Develop and deliver a training curriculum focused on CU at Home and homelessness

? Coordinate and schedule volunteer engagement

? Coordinate and schedule in-kind contributions from individuals, faith, and community groups

? Steward volunteers through various forms of recognition

? Serve as the key contact for CU at Home and third-party events, fundraising and awareness

Events & Donor Engagement (40%)

? Assist in the development of key messages for C-U at Home

? Coordinate CU at Home Events and Donor Engagement

? Carry out strategies to engage donors in CU at Home’s mission

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

? Associate’s degree in related field or 2+ years of experience coordinating volunteers

? Good judgement and flexibility

? Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

? Strong verbal and written communication skills

? Working knowledge of Microsoft and Google tools

? Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments.

Preferred Qualifications

? Experience with and passion for the homeless population with mental illness and/or substance abuse

? Working knowledge of data collection technology platforms
