About the Role
We are looking for reliable, hardworking individuals who love animals and are ready to be part of a fast-paced veterinary boarding team. This role is perfect for high school students looking for responsibility and real-world experience, or for individuals returning to the workforce who want meaningful, hands-on work.
This is not a desk job. It is physically active and requires cleaning, attention to detail, and a strong sense of responsibility. In return, you will gain experience working with animals, develop independence, and be part of a supportive team.
What You’ll Do
- Care for dogs and cats staying in our boarding facility
- Clean kennels, cages, and hospital areas thoroughly (yes—this includes cleaning waste)
- Feed, walk, and monitor pets throughout the day
- Observe animal behavior and report any concerns to the medical team
- Do laundry (towels, bedding) and maintain a clean environment
- Assist with bathing and basic grooming when needed
- Help prepare pets for pickup so they go home clean and happy
- Support the team with daily tasks to keep the hospital running smoothly

Physical Requirements
- Standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the day
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with larger dogs
- Comfortable working around animals, noise, odors, and cleaning chemicals

This job involves cleaning cages, handling animal waste, and working in a physically active environment. It is rewarding, but it is also hard work. We are looking for people who take pride in doing essential work well.
