We currently have an opening for a Senior Electrical Engineer for our Industrial Measurement Solutions (IMS) division. This individual will design, develop, and test electrical systems, circuit boards and choose components for analysis instruments utilized across a broad range of industrial processes and laboratory applications. This position is based in Pittsburgh, PA, reporting to the Global Engineering Team with a focus on the initial planning and design phases of projects, applying creativity and precision to deliver optimal, cost-effective, and dependable technical solutions. This is an Engineering position that will collaborate with the Supply Chain, Quality, and Manufacturing departments.
This role plays a critical part in driving our vision to partner with our customers to become their preferred process analytical solutions provider.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and support electrical systems and circuit boards for new and existing products, ensuring compliance with applicable industry and regulatory standards.
- Create and maintain schematics, PCB layouts, BoMs, test procedures, and technical documentation to support manufacturing and field use.
- Perform simulations, testing, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis to ensure performance, reliability, and product quality.
- Manage electrical design through the full product lifecycle, from prototype through production release and ongoing enhancements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, software, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams across multiple sites.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by refining designs, processes, and workflows for efficiency, cost, and reliability.
- Build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and customers as needed.
- Be physically present at the Pittsburgh site during normal weekday business hours.

Qualifying Attributes and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, with 5+ years of experience in OEM equipment or product design.
- Strong experience designing analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits, including schematic capture and PCB layout.
- Proficiency with Electrical CAD tools (Altium, KiCad, OrCAD or similar).
- Experience with microcontroller-based systems, sensors, electromechanical components, and industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, CAN, RS485, SPI).
- Working knowledge of regulatory and certification standards (UL, EU, or similar).
- Hands-on troubleshooting skills, including soldering and PCB rework.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and BoMs.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently.
- Financial awareness with attention to cost-conscious design decisions.
- Willingness to travel up to 20%.
