Job Overview

Matrix HVAC Inc. is hiring an Quality Control Client Specialist to step into a key role as our current technician prepares for retirement. This full-time position combines field expertise, technical accuracy, and relationship managementideal for a seasoned HVAC professional ready to influence installation standards and strengthen client satisfaction. Based out of Corona, CA, youll conduct quality reviews, support field teams, and be a critical link between technical operations and customer experience. Enjoy local travel throughout San Diego, Orange County, and Riverside County, without overnight stays.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical & Field Support
    • Conduct quality control inspections of completed HVAC installations for code compliance, accuracy, and workmanship.

    • Coach technicians on best practices and corrections needed for improvement.

    • Interpret architectural drawings and HVAC plans; assist with custom duct layout design.

    • Provide real-time feedback and technical guidance to field personnel.

    • Manage equipment returns, warranty claims, and supplier communications.

  • Client Relations & Business Development
    • Perform on-site client visits to ensure satisfaction and solidify long-term relationships.

    • Represent Matrix HVAC professionally with every customer interaction.

    • Collaborate on simple marketing strategies to support customer growth.

    • Act as a trusted advisor by anticipating client needs and providing proactive solutions.

  • Internal Operations
    • Maintain accurate records of inspections, jobsite feedback, and customer interactions.

    • Use digital tools and internal systems for tracking, reporting, and task management.

    • Coordinate daily workflow, balancing field responsibilities with administrative duties.

Qualifications
  • Proven field experience in HVAC or a similar construction trade.

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting plans and architectural drawings.

  • Experience in customer service, sales support, or client-facing roles.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Basic understanding of marketing principles or client outreach efforts.

  • Tech-savvy: comfortable with email, digital documentation, and software tools.

  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record.

  • Excellent time management and multitasking capabilities.

Benefits
  • Salary: $70,000$90,000 per year (based on experience)

Schedule
