Overview
The Operations Analyst plays a key role in supporting daily operations across the shipyard, with a focus on janitorial services, Bilge Plant, Hazmat Facility, Maintenance painters, Maintenance Carpenters, and Construction Mechanics who help keep the submarine shipyard running safely and efficiently. This position works closely with directors, managers, supervisors, planners, and frontline crews to track performance, analyze work processes, and identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and compliance. The Operations Analyst is responsible for collecting and reviewing operational data, preparing reports, and helping translate field activities into actionable insights that support scheduling, staffing, material coordination, and preventative maintenance efforts. By understanding how each trade contributes to shipyard operations, the analyst helps ensure resources are used effectively, work is completed on time, and standards for safety and cleanliness are consistently met. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable working in an industrial environment, and able to communicate effectively with both management and skilled trades to support continuous improvement across the shipyard. Key Responsibilities: Support data-driven decision-makingOversee multiple complex service areas, including janitorial, waste management, equipment maintenance, Maintenance painting, carpenters and construction mechanics. These functions require consistent tracking of labor hours, material costs, preventive maintenance schedules, and performance metrics to ensure resources are being used effectively.An Operations Analyst would provide the dedicated expertise needed to collect, analyze, and interpret operational data, identify inefficiencies, and develop actionable improvement plans.Integrate analytical insight with operational execution, the Operations Analyst will help ensure decisions are proactive, performance-based, and aligned with organizational goals.Be able submit Pewo’s and Capital Projects.Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations to track performance and identify trends.Monitor workflow efficiency and recommend process improvements.Support operations teams by troubleshooting issues and helping resolve bottlenecks.Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating daily activities.Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and data tracking tools.Work closely with supervisors, engineers, and project leads to ensure operational goals are met.Participate in audits, quality checks, and compliance reviews as needed.Ordering of materials and toolingWork with vendorsTake lead Process improvements ideas
